I'm working on a research paper for my University English 102 class, about how DeviantArt encourages individuals to create by giving them a platform and an audience. It's a sort of ethnographic report. I'm specifically focusing on original character creators.
So if you create OCs and post them on DeviantArt, I invite you to answer a few questions to help me with my research paper. If you're interested just comment below.

When I first joined I already had Revan and Cora (My OCs), but I really didn't have a design for them, then after some encouragement from my
friends on here I finally got the courage to post Revan and Cora. I was afraid to do so before.
2. What is unique about DeviantArt that encourages you to create, and be a part of this community?
I was surprised to learn the people on here are so nice to me and give so many tips on art. And it's really helped me in the long run, even if I didn't like
hearing so stuff I had to change about my art. There's only two people that have been rude to me. but I got over it.
3. How would you describe the attitudes and responses of fellow DeviantArt members to your original characters?
Really positive to me, like I said before only to told me I sucked at art. But that will never ever stop me from drawing.
